Drummore sits at Scotland's southernmost tip, where the Rhins of Galloway meets the sea. Harbour Row stands just across the road from Luce Bay's sand and shingle beaches, close enough that the village shop, café and three pubs are all within walking distance. The cottage itself is ground-floor throughout: a living space with an open fire, separate dining area opening onto the garden, and a kitchen with full cooking and laundry facilities. Two bedrooms sleep four—one with a double bed, one with two singles—and there is a shower room.
The rear garden is enclosed and lawned, with a patio and seating. Parking for two cars sits at the front. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, plus the initial fuel for the fire. One pet is welcome. The village itself offers straightforward seaside life: the RSPB Mull of Galloway reserve nearby draws thousands of nesting seabirds in spring and summer, while winter brings dramatic wave watching. Porpoises, dolphins, seals and otters inhabit these waters. Logan Botanical Gardens and Castle Kennedy Gardens are worth a day trip, and Stranraer is 5 miles north if you need a larger town.

The lovely Rhum cottage was so welcoming, spotlessly clean and in a dream location. Lynne and Geof were so helpful and friendly. You could never tire of the fantastic sea views. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need. Definitely will be returning here.

I left an incorrect review of the garden to this property. Google maps has the properties the wrong way round. The garden here is totally secure and perfect for dogs. Eigg cottage next door ( to the right from the front) is not in any way dog secure. My apologies to the owners

Very nicely presented cottage at Drummore which is a hidden gem in Scotkand. Visited mid November and had a lovely week. A real home from home and well recommended.

A lovely place to spend a week. Just sit in a chair with your favourite drink and watch the waves, the tides and the sea birds. There are plenty of places to explore, but I wouldn't worry about driving too far, you're already there. The owners are friendly and made me feel at home. It's really clean and well looked after. You can tell that they have stayed there themselves as it's well equipped and nothing is missing. There are 3 pubs, a cafe and a shop in the village. For anything else a visit to Stranraer is your best bet. I visited Port Logan, Port Patrick, Stranraer, the Mull of Galloway and a few places further afield. Everywhere was interesting, but like I say, there's little point in driving too far. It just doesn't get better.
