The property sits close to the coast within large gardens and woodland, with hill walks starting from the door. Parking is on site. The grounds have a lawn, patio, barbecue and space for children to play, though there is an unfenced pond and stream about twenty yards away. Half a mile down the road is Gatehouse of Fleet, a conservation town with shops, cafés and restaurants. The Galloway Forest Park lies nearby if you want to venture further for cycling and starlit skies. No smoking inside.
