This single-bedroom retreat on Brownley Lane was custom-built and finished to a high standard, designed as a private base for two. The whole property is yours alone, set back from the road with its own parking and garden. One dog stays free, and the space suits couples or small groups looking for a quiet getaway within reach of Durham.

Everything is on the ground floor. The open-plan living area combines kitchen, dining and lounge, with patio doors opening to the front garden. The bedroom has a super-king bed and Smart TV; the en-suite contains a double-ended bath, large walk-in shower, heated towel rail and a mirrored wardrobe with a hidden sliding door. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer and coffee machine. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. Outside, a patio with garden furniture and barbecue faces the house; a private hot tub fits five. The fenced garden has open access at the side, so it is not fully enclosed. There are two steps to the entrance and two more into the garden itself. No smoking inside.

Brandon village has pubs and restaurants nearby, while Durham city and its cathedral, museums and riverside walks are a short drive away.
