Ervine Cottage

Ervine Cottage comes ready for a proper stay. Electricity, heating, wifi, bed linen and towels are all covered. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine, so you can cook as much or as little as you want. There's a freezer in an outbuilding if you need extra storage. Parking for three cars sits on the grounds.

The layout is all on one level: an open-plan living and dining space flows into a conservatory, three bedrooms, and a bathroom with both a bath and walk-in shower. Bedroom one has a double bed, bedroom two has two singles, and bedroom three has a single. A cot and high chair are available if you ask ahead. The enclosed rear garden and patio come with furniture, good for eating outside or just sitting out. Inside, you get Freeview on the TV and wifi throughout.

The cottage is in Bolam, a village in the countryside between Durham and the Pennines, with walks from the doorstep. Barnard Castle, Raby Castle and the Bowes Museum are within reach for a day out. No smoking is permitted inside.
