Hooked Rise Holiday Lodge is a timber-clad, detached property in Dunkeswell, surrounded by farmland in the Blackdown Hills National Landscape. Everything is on the ground floor: a living and dining space with an electric stove-effect fire, a kitchen for cooking, two bedrooms (one double, one with twins), and a shower room. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are included, and one pet can stay at no extra cost.

A lawned rear garden with seating and furniture overlooks the countryside. The property sits adjacent to the owner's farmhouse; there is an unfenced pond 50 yards away in their grounds. Private parking for two cars is on site. Dunkeswell village has a shop and older cottages around the church. The market town of Honiton, famous for antiques and pottery, is five miles away with markets three days a week. Exeter's cathedral, castle and medieval city walls are within easy reach. For something different, the airfield on the village outskirts hosts flight training and other aviation activities.
