About Lahtlewood Glamping
Three acres of woodland to explore, off-grid pods tucked into private glades, and a peaceful North Yorkshire location on the edge of the North York Moors – Lahtlewood Glamping has carved out something rather special in the Vale of Pickering. Each pod comes with its own alfresco kitchen, barbecue, firepit and 'Scrub Shack' featuring a wood-fired hot shower, while the site stays blissfully car-free (wheelbarrows ferry your kit from the car park). Thoughtful touches abound, from hot tubs and provided logs to saucepans and dishcloths, plus the on-site Grub Shack serves up sourdough pizzas and bacon butties when you fancy someone else doing the cooking.
The whole site is fenced, making it brilliant for families and dogs who can roam safely across the woodland and ball game area. You're twenty minutes from the coast and just ten minutes from foodie favourite Malton, while a dog-friendly pub sits a pleasant walk away. Some might find the off-grid setup takes a little adjusting to, but most appreciate the isolation and tranquillity it brings.

And with a free couple of days available at the end of our Holidays, we “last minute” to again make a return visit to Lathlewood. The entire place is Spotless and so thoughtfully laid out. A number of kind considerations made such as wheelbarrows to transfer your things from the car park to your lodge. A free lockable charging stations for mobiles and power banks. A freezer of spare ice packs for the cooler boxes as needed. A larder of everything from marshmallows to logs and kindling with a “honesty board” payment system. The lodges so quaintly set out with everything that you could need. Recently updated hot tubs !! Everything was foolproof and Lathlewood makes it so easy for the novice “glamper”. We had Woodpecker 1. (Last time we stayed was Owl Red). Totally adore the place and the family team who have lovingly created this haven. Best Regards. J & K

We booked a woodpecker pod for 2 with hot tub for my partner's birthday and it was brilliant! Sarah and the team were amazing. I requested Hot Tub heated on arrival and it was perfectly to temp. We had some delays arriving and Sarah managed everything even down to providing a freshly chilled bottle of prosecco. The pod was great and don't be put off by the need to heat the water the process is idiot proof it must be I managed it twice a day. The site was nice and peaceful and even though the pod shared the glade with 2 others we always felt nicely isolated. We made use of the Grub Shack on Friday evening and had the most amazing sour dough pizzas and went back on Sunday morning for bacon butties We visited Castle Howard which was a great way to spend a morning and early afternoon before sloping back to the pod to laze in the hot tub. If you are after a relaxing off grid escape in Yorkshire I think you'd struggle to find better

Had an amazing time! As an extended family, we hired the Pheasant pods so we had a whole field to ourselves. Kids (13,12,9,7 and 3 years old) all had an incredibly time. Pods, kitchen and scrub shacks are all beautifully maintained. The fire pit/grill is cleaned every day for you, which makes doing a BBQ a doddle. Sarah and her team really are very welcoming and charming. Can't recommend this place enough
