About The Snooty Fox
There's nothing snooty about The Snooty Fox, a welcoming and dog-friendly site with fully serviced touring pitches surrounded by spectacular North Yorkshire countryside. Each gravelled pitch comes with its own well-maintained lawn, so you can relax with your feet on the grass while taking in far-reaching views of the hills. The site sits just off the A64, a five-minute drive to Sherburn village and fifteen minutes to the market town of Malton.
The well-stocked bar offers plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for planning excursions over a pint or G&T, while kids make friends in the games room and playground. Family days at the seaside are easily accessible: Filey beach (20 minutes) for kites and sandcastles, or Reighton Beach (25 minutes) for fossil hunting. Birdwatchers can head to Filey Brigg or RSPB Bempton Cliffs along the Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast. Closer to home, there's fishing at Don's Pond and North Riding Forest Park's wooded trails for hiking and cycling.

What visitors say
Another great visit to The Snooty Fox, our third time and the quality of the chalet 5 is immaculate. Very clean and tidy, great furniture. Friendly staff and nice little bar with TV and pool table. Ideally located for Whitby, Scarborough and Filey among others. Great beaches in the area. We will definitely be back again.

This is a good site for locality to the different places along that coast. The staff are friendly and the pitches are very generous. The bar is a lovey touch. 1 shower and toilet but it never caused a problem as most people there are either in the lodges or static vans. A shop selling basic supplies would be great as you always forget something. The site doesn't have a pot wash, not an essential but it's the only site we've stayed without one and personally I missed it. I would recommend and happily stay again.

Stayed in a privately owned lodge which was lovely. Reasonably quiet site with the exception of someone starting their car each morning at 5am outside our window. Also had stray cat on site which kept trying to get into our lodge. Electric charge point available. Didn't use onsite bar

Chalet 1 Review A really lovely place to stay overall. The chalet is well set up and has a cosy feel. The kitchenette is small but functional, with an air fryer, kettle, and microwave provided. There’s no hob or oven, so you do need to get a bit creative with meals. One downside was the lack of basic utensils like a spatula or tongs—it made cooking a bit tricky (and slightly hazardous when using the air fryer!). It’s also worth bringing air fryer liners and essentials like dish sponges. These are small things, but they make a big difference—especially as there are no nearby shops if you’re planning a relaxed, stay-in weekend. The highlight was definitely the hot tub right outside the door. The surrounding privacy fence makes a huge difference and really sets this place apart—a great touch. The en suite bathroom was clean and well presented. The hot water took a little while to come through, but once it did, it was absolutely fine. I do have to mention the bed—it wasn’t very sturdy and felt quite low quality, almost like sleeping on a cardboard box at times. It’s probably fine for a teenager’s first double bed, but for two adults it didn’t feel particularly supportive. It wasn’t so much about comfort as the lack of stability. A heater is provided and was definitely needed—it made a big difference to the overall comfort. Self check-in was seamless and really convenient, allowing us to arrive whenever suited us. There is a reception on site, but we didn’t need to use it. We didn’t make use of the on-site facilities like the bar or play area, but they looked good from what we could see. All in all, a really nice spot and somewhere we’d happily return to with a few small improvements.
