Bluebell is a two-bedroom pub conversion in Horncastle, run as a self-catering holiday let. Everything needed for a short break is already here: electricity, gas central heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all covered in your rental. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave and fridge-freezer. Downstairs, an open-plan living space contains a dining area and a Freeview Smart TV. There's also a garden with seating and private parking for two cars.

Bedrooms are arranged across two floors. Ground floor holds two single beds (3ft each) and a bathroom with both a bath and shower cubicle. Upstairs, the second bedroom has a zip-and-link super king bed (which can be configured as two singles on request) and an ensuite with toilet. The property takes four people and does not permit smoking. A step leads to the entrance and another to the garden, which may affect access for those with mobility needs.

The pub's kitchen is known for generous portions and a varied menu that includes gluten-free choices. This is a whole property to yourself, not rooms within a working pub, though the setting means you're surrounded by the kind of neighbourhood where people value good food and a proper drink.

Passed by on the off chance . Thursday evening 19.40 ordered a pint of Bateman's and ask if there was any chance of Supper, The bar Lady told me I had just made it as last orders was 20.00 hrs . I ordered Bangers and Mash at a very reasonable price. Sat talking to the bar Lady ( Sorry I didn't get your name ) such a friendly and congenial host . In due course my meal arrived , And very pleased I was with it ! 4 plump delicious sausages lots of wonderful creamy mashed potato Garden Peas and a briming pot of tasty Gravy. I'm guilty in admitting to polishing the whole dish off . Superb fare . 3 for atmosphere only because it was very quiet when I arrived. No fault of the establishment. Just my bad timing. Thanks Bluebell Girls . X

We regularly visit The Blue Bell for drinks and have eaten here several times. The staff are welcoming and very efficient. The menu choice is fantastic and we love that there is a good choice of gluten free. Portion sizes are generous and we are always very impressed with the food. Delicious meals all round!

We had a lovely time at the Blue Bell. It's a fabulous village pub with a great reputation. Excellent prices for drinks. Unfortunately their new chef hadn't arrived when we visited but we spoke with numerous locals and they all said the food is always great. Hopefully on our next visit we can find out. It's a great place to visit though.

We’ve been about five or six times to the BB as our new year annual visit. We’ve been as a couple, a couple with a dog and a couple with a new born…and the dog, and each time has been superb!! The food, the welcome, the real fireplace, the ale are all great. Thanks for having us each year, we look forward to many more visits.
