Cowslip Cottage is a converted barn on a small rural site near Lincoln. Everything is on the ground floor: you walk into a living room with a TV and DVD player, which opens through French doors onto a shared courtyard. The kitchen is equipped for full cooking—electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge—and leads into a separate dining area. The bedroom contains a kingsize bed, also with French doors to the courtyard. A bathroom with a bath and shower completes the layout. Parking for up to four cars sits on site, and there's a bike store if you're planning to explore by two wheels.

The essentials are covered: electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. The sitting area has garden furniture, and the owners provide a welcome pack. Oil central heating keeps the place warm. No smoking indoors. A travel cot and highchair are available if you ask when booking.

From the cottage, walking and cycle routes head straight into the surrounding countryside. The local pub is roughly two miles away on foot. Boston, famous for its landmark church tower, lies eight miles south. Lincoln's cathedral and castle are within reach for a day out, as is the coast near Skegness, about twenty miles north. The Battle of Britain memorial flight at Coningsby is two miles away, and fishing opportunities lie half a mile off. The property suits couples or two friends looking for quiet time away from towns.

We have just returned from a stay in “Cowslip Cottage” at Wildmore farm cottages. What can I say, we had no idea what to expect, Idyllic, so peaceful, hosts are very good. We have had a really relaxing break, the accommodation has everything you require, a fascinating array of literature. In fact my wife had to buy me a book before we left, because I hadn’t finished reading the copy in the cottage. We didn’t get to see everything we wanted to, so are already planning a return. If you want peace and quiet and a relaxing break book it, I’d be very surprised if anyone were disappointed.

I booked this place for an extended weekend away. I'd only ever been close by the area when visiting Cadwell Park and was unsure what to expect. The cottages are really nice, both Inside and out. The interior was decorated to a high spec. Our cottage was very cosy. The kitchen is fully loaded with everything you need. , the perfect spot to relax , the garden area had seating allowing us to enjoy the warm evenings and eat outside. The host/owner Karen is a really lovely lady. Very warm and welcoming and helpful. The area surrounding is beautiful, and there are a lot of places to visit a short drive away. My only gripe was, although almost everything had been thought of. There was no iron or ironing board and the TV was not a smart TV, so I couldn't use my subscriptions (Netflix, Amazon prime etc...) on a night. I definitely enjoyed my time here and would definitely visit again. Highly recommended.
