Beacon Farm - Seagull Cottage
East Riding of Yorkshire

Flamborough village sits on the Yorkshire coast where the headland curves into clifftop walks and the RSPB bird sanctuary spreads across the horizon. Seagull Cottage is a converted barn on the edge of this working fishing community, close enough to the harbour to hear about the day's catch but far enough back to have proper peace. The beach is a short walk away; a longer stroll takes you up to the headland where the cliffs drop away and you can see right across to Filey.
The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms: a double with its own shower room, and two pairs of single beds. Two bathrooms mean less negotiation in the mornings. The ground floor has a sitting room with a DVD player, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave—and a separate toilet. There's a sitting-out area with garden furniture and a barbecue. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; a travel cot and highchair are available if needed.
Bridlington's seafront with its swimming pool and spa is three miles away. Scarborough, further down the coast, offers the usual seaside attractions. Whitby's abbey and harbour are worth a day trip. The cottage doesn't permit smoking.
