Through the front door of Barley Edge, you enter a full-scale holiday setup: the main barn holds five bedrooms and three bathrooms on two floors, while a separate annexe adds a sixth bedroom with its own bathroom and kitchenette. The ground floor of the main property spreads across a living room with woodburner, a kitchen diner with full appliances, and utility facilities. Upstairs are two double bedrooms; downstairs, two more doubles and a kingsize, each with their own bathroom or shower room nearby. The annexe works as a self-contained space, with an open-plan living and dining area, kitchenette, and roll-top bath, ideal if part of your group wants semi-independence.

The property sits on a working farm near Hornsea, overlooking the mere. You get a private hot tub for six, an enclosed garden with patio and barbecue, parking for seven cars and a bike store. Wi-Fi, heating, linen and towels are included, along with initial logs for the wood burner. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed. The rural location is a short distance from Honeysuckle Farm and within reach of the Yorkshire coast—sandy beaches, RSPB reserves and traditional seaside towns like Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough are all accessible for day trips. No smoking throughout.

Amazing week. Stayed in the Stables as part of young family beach holiday. Would book again. Great group of holiday cottages, located within a quick drive, cycle, and longer walk to the Hornsea sea front. Rural location. Enjoyed a family holiday.

Great place for a few days away with friends. Wonderful views. Bit wierd having a bedroom off the kitchen and the two upstairs bedrooms dont have a bathroom or loo on the same floor but it didnt spoil our weekend. We were in the big barn conversion.

We have just stayed in the Granary, what a fantastic place, spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, everything you need and more. All bedrooms had ther own en suite . Very spacious. Peaceful, quiet and private. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place. We look forward to planning another stay here. Thank you from the Richardson family and Co. X
