About Northorpe
The beaches of East Yorkshire and the long-distance Trans Pennine Trail are at your fingertips at Northorpe, a family- and dog-friendly site on the B1242 road, less than one mile from the coastal town of Hornsea. Park right next to your pitch on a well-maintained, tree-lined field, then head to the seaside – a half-hour walk if you fancy popping into town for supplies, or about ten minutes if you cut through the fields.
Popular for swimming and watersports, Hornsea Beach is skirted by a long promenade with family-friendly amusements like a paddling pool, inflatable park and arcades. There's also a lawn where you can stop for fish and chips. Those travelling without children might fancy a challenge: hike or cycle along the Trans Pennine Trail (look for the marker on the promenade) – you could reach Hull in about four hours on foot, or one hour by bike, then catch a train back.
Back at the site, you'll find clean showers, a toilet block and washing-up area. Fire up the barbecue or venture into Hornsea, where plenty of eateries and pubs await. Guests consistently praise the attentive service and excellent value for money.

What a beautiful place to stay! Not far away from Hornsea town centre, but enough to make you feel like you’re staying in your own little cosy part of the countryside. Jo is an absolutely wonderful host, she is caring, attentive and answered any questions we had. The room was absolutely beautiful, and kitted out with everything we needed for our overnight stay. Breakfast was delicious and every item felt like such good quality. Not to mention - the morning entertainment of the flock of Indian Runner Ducks, Guinea Fowl and Chickens having their run about the garden! Thank you so much for having us, we really really enjoyed our time here 🤍

We just stopped in the 2 bed cottage cant fault anything everything clean and well decorated. excellent value for money easy access into hornsea and some lovely walks around the area will be back thanks for a lovely stay
