Cheviot

Cheviot works well for larger families or groups wanting to holiday together. The four bedrooms and three bathrooms mean everyone gets their own space, while the open-plan ground floor gives you a proper hub for gathering. Two of the bedrooms have king beds with ensuite showers; the other two each have twin singles. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are all included, and there's a travel cot, highchair and stairgate if you need them.

The main living area is where things happen: a broad kitchen with breakfast bar and induction hob leads into a dining space, which then opens into a generous lounge with sofas and a smart TV. Glass doors on two sides look out to the enclosed garden with patio furniture and hot tub, so you can move between inside and outside easily. The utility room has a washing machine for longer stays. Parking fits three cars on the drive, with more available on-road.

Walkington is a village setting in the East Riding, with Beverley a short drive away. The garden includes a sloped lawn, and the entrance requires climbing three steps. No smoking is permitted inside.
