Cosy Cottage
East Riding of Yorkshire
Cosy Cottage stands in Howden, where Georgian buildings line streets that have changed little over centuries. The cottage itself has the character of that setting—solid, unpretentious, built to last. Inside, a living room with woodburner and smart TV leads through to a kitchen with electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and the basics for proper cooking. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity and bed linen are all covered, along with the first load of wood for the stove.
Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a double bed, the other with twin singles and its own smart TV. A shower room with heated towel rail completes the layout. The cottage sleeps four and takes one dog at no extra cost. On-road parking is available, and no smoking is permitted inside.
Howden itself has a working market on Fridays, independent shops and traditional pubs—one is within a mile's walk. The city of York is roughly 40 minutes' drive away, though the appeal here is the town's own pace and the quieter countryside around it. Guests need to arrive after 4pm and leave by 10am.
