A sofa bed and freeview TV occupy the living end; the kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave and dishwasher for cooking from scratch or reheating. Two bedrooms lead off this main space—one with a double bed, the other with two singles—and there's a bathroom with both bath and shower. The cottage sleeps six and includes bed linen, towels, electricity and heating.

The property stands on a working livestock farm within 12 acres of shared woodland, with direct access to riverside walks. A fenced section of the River Ouse runs through the grounds 50 yards from the cottage. On-site parking is available, and a shared patio with garden furniture provides outdoor space. The nearest shop and restaurant are four miles away. No smoking throughout the property.

Families with young children will find a travel cot and highchair on hand. The rural setting appeals to those seeking countryside quiet, though the East Riding's attractions—York, The Deep Aquarium, Magna Science Adventure Centre and various family days out—sit within a 30-mile radius for visiting when the mood takes you.
