Cottingham Parks - Fairways Retreat 2

I booked my stay directly with Cottingham Parks by email, and from the very first enquiry the experience was exceptional. Every member of the team who responded was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. They answered all of my questions promptly, the booking process was straightforward, and paying the deposit was completely seamless. I arrived yesterday and was greeted by a warm, welcoming team at reception. Check-in was quick, professional, and made me feel right at home. When I opened the door to Lodge 3, I was genuinely impressed. The lodge was spotless, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed from a kettle and toaster to a fridge, microwave, and all the essentials for a comfortable stay. What stood out most was that it didn’t simply feel clean; it felt cared for. Whoever prepares the lodges clearly takes pride in making guests feel welcome, and it shows. The setting is equally wonderful. Looking out over the open countryside with the gentle Yorkshire breeze this morning has been absolutely glorious. It’s peaceful, relaxing, and exactly what I was hoping for. A special mention also goes to the Wi-Fi. As someone who travels regularly, I know internet connections can often be unreliable, but not here. The connection was fast, stable, and effortless to use. I was also delighted to find EV charging available on site, which made looking after my rental car incredibly convenient. I’ve only just arrived, so I haven’t yet had the opportunity to try the restaurant, the pub, or the other facilities, but based on my experience so far I’m looking forward to them. I’ll happily leave a follow-up review after I’ve explored more. For now, I simply want to say thank you to everyone at Cottingham Parks. You’ve made a wonderful first impression, and it’s clear that everyone here genuinely cares about providing a great experience for your guests. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here!

Played cottingham golf course today for the first time! it was shocking the speed of play was horrendous we walked slow and still had 10 min wait on every tee box we walked off on the 13th hole ill make sure I never return day wasted thanks for nothing cot parks plus the course was in a rough state for the money

We played in a Pro Am here. The facilities are excellent. A lovely clubhouse with outside seating. The course was in excellent condition and very challenging from the white tees. If you are not straight off the Tee you will be punishment. Thick ruff, tree and plenty of water hazards. There was only one criticism and that is the overhead pylon cables. These were hit a few times as we played causing a problem such as a lost ball and a ball ricochet into the trees. A great course and facilities including a driving range. We would definitely play here again.

We absolutely love Cott Parks. It's brilliant for the whole family. It’s so refreshing to find a golf club that is genuinely welcoming to children, creating a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere for everyone. The junior golf lessons are fantastic, really well run, engaging, and a great way for kids to build confidence and skills while having fun. The gym itself is excellent value for money, and what really stands out is how friendly and welcoming it feels. The staff and members create such a positive environment, making it a place you genuinely enjoy coming to. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a family-friendly club with a great community feel.
