I had an absolutely fantastic time at the Thursday Night Quiz at the Old Grey Mare hosted by Marky Marc! From start to finish, the entire evening was incredibly engaging, entertaining, and brilliantly organized. Marc is a phenomenal host — charismatic, quick-witted, and exceptionally well spoken. He kept the energy high all night and did a fantastic job getting the crowd involved and excited for every round. What really sets this quiz apart is the variety and creativity of the rounds. It wasn’t just your standard trivia — the quiz included multiple choice questions, a Wheel of Fortune round, an exciting horse race, a clever Countdown Conundrum, and even a wager round that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. Each round brought something new and fun to the table, keeping the pace lively and the competition fierce. The atmosphere was electric with at least 20 teams in attendance, which made the competition even more thrilling. The room was buzzing with laughter, friendly rivalry, and plenty of “aha!” moments. It’s clear that Marc has created something special here — a quiz night that feels polished, dynamic, and genuinely exciting. Booked in here for 1 nite Staff absolutely accommodating Great service only down side was are radiators were cold wen we arrived n r friends room down the corridor was very cosy but all credit due wen we came bk after r niteout it was perfect 👌 n we cant sleep in a hot room 😀 Breakfast im sorry but the water jug had had coffee in it n I'm afraid it has tainted the inside so couldn't drink r tea but we did ask for cups of hot water n again was very accommodating Breakfast was very nice 😋 Thank you again 😊 Would certainly stay here again 😊

Clean and quiet place. Polite and welcoming staff. Definitely recommended for business and leisure. Just for God sake change those taps. 😅 Interior maze was a bit odd. I mean the hallway.
