Sewerby sits on the cliffs above Bridlington Bay, where the coastline draws walkers back year after year. The village itself is quiet; the sea views and access to the headland paths are what define it. Oakwood is a detached house positioned at the heart of this landscape, with Sewerby Hall and its 50 acres of gardens and zoo immediately nearby. The seafront is a short walk away, and in the other direction lies Danes Dyke nature reserve. This matters if you walk with a dog, or simply want to spend mornings on the clifftops rather than driving anywhere.
The house sleeps 8 across four bedrooms (two doubles and two pairs of singles) and two bathrooms. Downstairs there is a living room and a kitchen/dining space that opens onto a garden with a patio and terrace. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included. One dog can stay for free. The property is yours alone, with private parking for two cars and an enclosed garden; there are two steps within the garden itself. Smoking is not permitted.
Beyond the immediate area, Flamborough Head and the RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton are close enough for a day trip. Bridlington itself is a working seaside town with a functioning harbour. The North York Moors and Yorkshire Wolds are within reach for those who want to venture further inland.
