The Hind House

Groups of up to eight find The Hind House works well for a week away, whether that's families wanting breathing room or friends sharing a countryside base. The detached property sits on a working arable farm near Driffield, with views across the Wolds and parking for three cars on site. One dog can stay free, though the surrounding farmland means it needs to be kept on a lead.

Four bedrooms and two bathrooms mean everyone gets their own space. The ground floor holds a kitchen with Aga and electric oven, two living rooms (one with a TV, one without), and a utility room with washer and dryer. Upstairs, two of the bedrooms have zip-and-link super king beds that split into singles if needed; the other two have a double and two singles. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included. The hot tub sits in a large enclosed garden with patio and barbecue, and a bike store is on hand.

The coast at Bridlington and Filey is under an hour away. Closer by are Sledmere House, Burton Agnes Hall and the market town of Beverley. Driffield itself is four miles down the road. No smoking throughout the property.
