The Old Barn
East Riding of Yorkshire

You walk straight into a single open-plan space where living, dining and kitchen merge into one—the layout of a converted stable block made practical. One bedroom with zip-and-link beds that split into singles, a shower room, and heating throughout. Wifi is on, bed linen and towels are waiting, and the essentials are covered. Outside, parking for two cars and a bike store. One dog travels free.
The Old Barn sits in North Cattleholmes, a three-house hamlet deep in countryside reached by country lanes. Despite the isolation, everyday services are within reach. The property is in what locals call the Yorkshire Wildlife Triangle, positioned between internationally important bird reserves at Flamborough and Bempton; a mile away, a designated wetland site draws otters, water voles and snakes. Hares, owls and kingfishers turn up regularly from the garden. The Yorkshire coast itself—with its varied landscapes, dog-friendly beaches and traditional seaside towns—is a short drive. Walkers find the Wolds nearby, strung with villages and pubs; stately homes managed by their original families dot the region. No smoking inside.

Top draw accommodation with superb host. High quality accommodation with a massive bed and all the amenities you could wish for. Great come before to ensure you planned use was so simple. Great shower and the weather was kind. Very dog friendly but kept really clean.
