The Old Forge is a self-contained cottage on a working stud farm in rural East Riding of Yorkshire, sleeping up to 5 guests. Everything needed for a stay is provided: bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, heating and power. The wood burner has logs supplied, and there's a welcome pack on arrival. One dog is welcome at no extra cost.
Downstairs, an open-plan living and dining space contains a sofa that converts to a single bed, a wood-burning stove, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking with gas hob and oven, dishwasher and all standard appliances. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a zip-and-link super king bed (or twin singles on request) and ensuite shower, the other with a double bed and ensuite bath with over-shower. Both have televisions. A travel cot is available if needed.
Outside, a small courtyard with patio seating gets sun for much of the day. A private hot tub seats four. Parking for two cars is on site. The farm setting means you're well positioned for the Yorkshire Wolds, the coast, and market towns like Beverley, though if you have your own horses, stabling can be arranged. No smoking throughout.

Excellent place, to say this is a working equine stud, the place is truly spotless, there is no watching where you step. It is ideal center point for the east coast, vale of York, North Yorkshire moors, Leeds, Hull, Ripon, Whitby, Scarborough, Richmond, Knaresborough, Harrogate, to name a few....

This lovely 2 bed cottage with courtyard hot tub was a wonderfully peaceful relaxing holiday retreat. Well off the beaten track it was the perfect " get away from it all" place we were ready for this summer

We have had a lovely time at the Forge, great space for my mum, myself and my daughter..love the fact they allow my 3 dogs. Great touch with the hot tub. Quiet spot with access to some lovely spots. We took the dogs the Linley dog exercise field. Relaxed in the hot tub, had everything we needed. Will definitely coming back.

Loved it. Second visit and hopefully planning another one. Did some great walks and running. The only thing is that it is a couple of miles away from shops and pubs but we love our walking so it wasn't a problem. The hot tub was a bonus it is certainly very welcoming, especially in January. Pet friendly too. Bumped into the owner as we were leaving and she is very friendly and informative. Definitely recommend.
