West End Farm Lodge

West End Farm Lodge is a semi-detached property in Thornholme village, five miles inland from the coast. The owners run an arable farm with horses on site, which they're happy to introduce guests to. One dog stays free here, as long as it's kept on a lead—the working farm setting means this matters. The enclosed patio gives a secure space outdoors, and there's a bike store if you want to explore on two wheels.

The ground floor has a living room with a 55-inch smart TV and open fire (fuel included), plus a kitchen with electric range, dishwasher and microwave. A separate utility room holds the washing machine and freezer. One bedroom on this level is a kingsize with patio doors onto the garden, and there's a shower room. Upstairs, the second bedroom is a zip-and-link super kingsize that can be split into two singles, and the third has two single beds. A full bathroom with bath and shower serves both. Linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are all included; parking for two cars is on site.

The coastline and Bridlington's beaches lie within reach for a day out, while Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve and Flamborough Head draw walkers and birdwatchers. The Yorkshire Wolds and North York Moors are under an hour's drive, as is York. A pub, shop and restaurant are about a mile and a half away. No smoking in the property.
