About Keepers House

Woodland, wildlife, walks and wonderful views in the Yorkshire Wolds – this three-acre family-run site between Kilham and Rudston is a genuine slice of peaceful countryside. Resident ducks and chickens potter about, while overhead you might spot red kites wheeling or hear woodpeckers and owls. Protected bat and badger colonies share the space, and deer occasionally wander through.

Facilities are deliberately low-key to keep things natural: portable loos, picnic tables, and a barn with electric points and drying space for sodden kit after a wet walk. There's plenty of room to spread out your pitch however you like, perhaps adding an awning or firepit for starlit evenings. Both Kilham and Rudston (each about a mile and a half away) have decent pubs for post-ramble refreshment; Kilham also offers a playground, tennis courts and a small garage shop.

For bigger supplies, Driffield's a ten-minute drive. It's genuinely remote, so come prepared – but that's rather the point.

We had a great time at Keepers House Campsite. It's a really nice location, nice and quiet, small park area for the kids. All the amenities you'd need, running water, toilet, bins etc. you can also rent a fire pit and buy the logs to burn which was easier that taking one with us. The owners were really pleasant and told us all about the area and things to do. Will definitely be going again.

Absolutely no complaints from us - the site is exactly as described - and the toilet is fine, the water is easily accessible and the use of the fridge is great. The location is set in beautiful countryside and it's so peaceful. We stayed a week and simply enjoyed our surroundings. Booking is super easy and Fiona and her mum are lovely to deal with - a proper little gem

Nice simple campsite, rustic but lovely. Peaceful and scenic, nothing but birdsong with the odd duck quacking. Charming little place...I will be back if I'm in the area.
