Little Owl

East Suffolk

View on Google Maps

Little Owl sits within a working nature reserve near Tirah, where herons, red kites and deer move through the grounds, and a barn owl regularly settles on branches by the gravel drive. The whole property is yours alone, set back privately with a deep lake on the land. Everything is on the ground floor: a open-plan living and dining space with Freeview TV and electric fire, a kitchen with gas hob and electric oven, two bedrooms (one kingsize, one with two singles), and two bathrooms. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are included; there is parking for two cars and a front terrace with garden furniture.

This corner of Suffolk puts you within walking distance of RSPB North Warren, a serious birding site. Thorpeness and Aldeburgh are reachable on foot or bike through the reserve. The Suffolk Coast Area of Natural Beauty stretches nearby, and Southwold, Walberswick, Minsmere and Snape are all short drives away. Aldeburgh itself has a shingle beach where fishermen still land daily catches, a mainly Georgian high street, and hosting of the Aldeburgh Music Festival each June at Snape Maltings. A supermarket lies 2 miles off, a pub 1¾ miles, and the beach 2¼ miles. The property is non-smoking.
