Felixstowe Ferry is a quiet fishing village on Suffolk's heritage coast, where the shingle beach is a minute's walk away and the Ferry Boat Inn sits just down the lane. Mariners Lodge stands on the edge of the golf club grounds, a detached property with direct access to a courtyard and balcony. The whole place is yours alone—three bedrooms sleeping seven, two bathrooms, and a kitchen with everything you need to self-cater: electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided, along with parking for two cars on site. No smoking inside.

The layout spreads across two floors. Downstairs holds a dining room opening to the courtyard, the kitchen, one double bedroom and a bathroom with bath and shower. Upstairs, the living room overlooks the golf course and takes in views toward the coast; two further bedrooms (one double, one with bunks and a single bed) and a shower room complete the first floor. Both upper rooms have direct access outside—one to a balcony, one to the courtyard garden area, where there's furniture for sitting out.

Walking distance brings you to a sailing club, fishing spots and a small art gallery. Woodbridge, Aldeburgh and Southwold are reachable for a day trip, as are the antique shops of Long Melford and the medieval streets of Lavenham. Snape Maltings, known for live music year-round, lies about half an hour's drive inland.

Had a fabulous week in mariners Lodge- lovely house - probably the best equipped self catering accommodation we've stayed in. Very clean, spacious, just perfect. Lovely area- right near the sea, boatyard, golf course - enjoyed wonderful walks and swims. Both cafes and the pub did excellent food too. Thank you- thoroughly recommend it. Tracy and Jon.
