Aldeburgh's high street sits a short walk downhill from Shell Cottage, and the beach itself is barely a minute away on foot. The town has everything you need without feeling overdeveloped—indie shops, restaurants and pubs cluster along the seafront, and Aldeburgh Cinema is nearby for an evening out. This is a proper base for exploring the Suffolk coast rather than a retreat from it.
The cottage spreads across two floors with an open-plan ground floor: living and dining areas flow together, with patio doors opening onto a south-facing courtyard garden. The kitchen is equipped for real cooking—electric oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave. Upstairs are four bedrooms: two doubles (one a four-poster super king), two rooms with a pair of single beds each. Three bathrooms serve the lot, two with showers and one with a bath. A sofa bed on the ground floor provides extra flexibility. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are included; gas central heating keeps things warm.
The property sleeps eight and is yours alone. There is parking for one car on site. No smoking inside. A stairgate and travel cot are available if you need them.
