About Travelodge Hellingly Eastbourne
Travelodge Hellingly Eastbourne sits close to the A22, making it a practical base for reaching Eastbourne itself or heading out into the High Weald AONB for a day of walking or driving through the countryside. A Starbucks nearby covers a quick coffee stop, and a pub, restaurant and other eateries within reach mean there's no need to travel far for a meal out.
The hotel has 58 rooms spread across two floors, each with an en-suite bathroom and drinks available in the room, plus accessible rooms for those who need them. Breakfast is available on-site, and pets are welcome, which makes this a straightforward option for those travelling with dogs. Free on-site parking is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and there's an electric vehicle charge point for those who need one.
Rooms are generally kept clean and tidy, and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, though some visitors have found certain rooms less well-maintained and noisier than expected. Prices range from £35 to £150, reflecting the hotel's position as a no-frills, budget-friendly stop rather than a destination in itself.

What guests say
Location was ideal with short drive to Eastbourne. Garage ( petrol station), Starbucks and Greg's walking distance . Hotel quiet , had no problems parking free just add your reg into iPad at reception. Down part , front door to reception looked like it had been falsed open with some type of tool , immediately think of security, room door didnt double lock or have a form of security lock once you wish to sleep , there was rubbish under bed , shower curtain and crack in mirror next to kettle, I believe its meant to be a refurbished hotel , so not sure why unhygienic shower curtain is being used . Tea , decafe coffee, coffee , milk , plenty of .

On arrival there was no receptionist for about 10 mins, had to ring outside door bell for them to finally turn up. On first look, the room looks basic but comfortable, then on closer inspection, a lot of dust along edges, a used sanitary towel in the bin in the sanitary bag, rust and grime around shower area, and don’t get me started on the underside of the toilet rim, it was gross (I am a cleaner in profession). The bed was super comfy and clean, unlike on sleeping, there was a constant droning sound all night, even with ear plugs in I could hear it. Unfortunately not much sleep was gotten, even though, the bed was lovely. Last thing, there is enough room for a 2 seater sofa in the room, which would be better than one small armchair for couples xx

Good, cheap hotel. Rooms are always kept clean and tidy. Only downside is next to no signal in the area. Also very noisy due to being next to dual carriageway and a popular motorbike meetup point by the looks of it.

Even at the budget end of the hotel offerings, our room fell short of basic standards. Room appeared to not be regularly used and smelt musty. Numerous dusty cobwebs evident along with a poorly cleaned bathroom, dried coffee spills and litter evident. Even after asking reception for a duster to take matters into our own hands there was no acknowledgement or apology. 2 stars for service as we had a small refund after a central complaint, 3 stars for location as it is handy for much in the area, but other budget options exist, and has a garage, Starbucks and Greggs on the same site.
