About Hale Farm Campsite
Tucked into a peaceful fold of the Cuckmere Valley on the Weald Way, this working farm campsite wins hearts with its spacious, no-pegs-required pitching field and genuinely warm welcome. Families love meeting the menagerie – donkeys, pygmy goats, pedigree sheep, ponies and free-range poultry – while the daily visits from the owner selling logs, kindling and barbecue packs add a lovely personal touch. Fresh eggs and home-produced sausages are available to buy, and you'll find clean flushing toilets and warm showers in the well-kept facilities block.
The location puts you at the gateway to the South Downs National Park and High Weald, with Drusillas Park fifteen minutes away and the coast at Brighton or Hastings within three-quarters of an hour. Chiddingly's village shop and two recommended pubs are five minutes' drive, or an enjoyable walk if you fancy stretching your legs. Campfires are welcome, the atmosphere is genuinely tranquil, and the only real compromise is the no-dogs policy – worth noting if you usually travel with four-legged friends.

What visitors say
Stayed here for a weekend mini break, was absolutely amazing, the pitches are spacious, the quiteness and views perfect...the facilities are clean, tidy and well maintained. The farm you can visit, is perfect for young children we enjoyed waking up and being able to visit the animals. Added bonuses, is that you can buy fresh meat and eggs daily from the owners, which we loved. The coffee van and ice cream van visits were perfect too. We cannot wait to visit again to be able to relax and unwind from daily life. Highly recommend if your looked for camping break.

Just had a great weekend camping. Love this quiet, peaceful and family friendly campsite. Good pitch sizes, fire pit dug into the ground, flushing toilets, warm showers, farm animals that you can visit plus a coffee van serving coffee, hot chocolate and pastries in the mornings. Scott comes round in the evenings with wood, kindling, eggs, bacon, sausages & lamb burgers for sale. Everything you need for a great camping trip. This is our second stay and we'll be back soon.

Beautiful, peaceful and well-looked after campsite. The facilities are clean and it is clear the owners love having this place. Bonus points for the small farm that is open in the mornings - check out the quails!

Always love coming here year after year, we usually camp but this year opted for bell tents. They were incredibly clean along with the facilities. The best thing was having our own shower and toilet. The farm visit every morning was brilliant as the kids love the animals. We would recommend that if you have children that like technology then bring enough power banks as there's no electricity here. We are looking at getting one big one for next year that lasts all week. Would definitely recommend here.
