Family-run touring park on the River Lossie, a short walk from Elgin centre
About Riverside Caravan Park
Riverside Caravan Park is a small, family-run site set on the banks of the River Lossie, a short walk from Elgin's High Street, cathedral and museum—making it the only touring park actually inside the town itself. It takes caravans, motorhomes and folding campers (though not tents), and offers hardstanding and grass pitches with electric hook-up and clean facilities. The riverside setting provides a pleasant outlook while keeping you within a few minutes of shops, pubs and the railway station.
Its central location suits couples and small families after a low-key, no-frills base rather than a resort-style experience. Dog-friendly and close to Cooper Park and river walks, it works well for touring with pets. Some visitors note the site can feel a little tired in places, but appreciate the value and convenience. Positioned on the edge of Speyside whisky country and within easy reach of the Moray coast, it's a practical launching point for exploring the Highlands, with Inverness, Aberdeen and the coastal towns all within an hour's drive.

Stayed here for a night in my camper. You have to phone, email or use the form online. A bit frustrating in this day and age that you can't book online. When I arrived the gent at reception was fine (payment via card or cash). I didn't get given any information about the facilities, check out time etc. Pitch was good, decent sized, room for an awning, power etc. The campsite was clean and well maintained. Showers were good, actual showers, not the silly, timed ones. Hand dryer in the gents wasn't working though It seems to be predominantly static caravans and touring caravans. I'm pretty sure I was the only person under 60 and was definitely getting the evil eye for not being in the caravan brigade (haha) - so bare that in mind if you're planning on taking family etc. Probably a half hour walk into the town centre from the site. My only complaint was people letting their dogs bark and then not doing anything or just shouting at them. Fine if it's one but when there's multiple dog's doing it, less fun, particularly later on in the evening

Lovely quiet campsite in an idyllic location. Just returned from a camping holiday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Campsite is well kept and central for visiting places like Inverness, Aviemore Aberdeen all easily travelled to for day trip. Site owners were very pleasant and welcoming nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The showers and toilets were regularly cleaned and spotless. The campsite is situated beside the river which i found the sound of the water very relaxing to go to sleep too. There is a small play area inside the site and a large football area just as you come in which the kids loved. Definitely would recommend and look forward to coming back.

Lovely little site. Clean and tidy. Well located, a 25 min walk into the centre of Elgin. Great value. The only thing we would like to see improved are the showers. 2 showers in the gents, 1 with low flow and the other unusable as almost no flow at all! These are very minor points, we will definitely be back to this well run little site.

This place totally exceeded my expectations 🫶 The customer service from booking in until leaving was faultless, the pitches and grounds are so well laid out and manicured meticulously. Now im as fussy as you get and a very hard person to impress, but from start to finish on my wee trip here with Eric (MH) I smiled so much. The facilities 😍 were immaculate and they even had a "bath" room (I was very tempted as am a bath lover lol) Honestly I will be back toot sweet (no pun intended).... not just for the peace and tranquility, cleanliness, neatness of grounds, finishing touches, fantastic customer service but for the addition of the array of birds I seen and heard including a Heron (frequented our back window) and a Tawny Owl singing me to sleep. Does it get any better? Definitely not! Nature at its Best in a beautiful wee site! You know you want to 👌🫶🏴 Thank you so much Archie and family 🫶 will definitely be back 🏴
