About Glampods

If you're after the quiet life with more than a dash of luxury, Glampods should definitely hit the spot. Set in acres of secluded Elgin farmland, this hand-built pod sleeps five and comes kitted out with a well-designed kitchen and living area, underfloor heating (bliss after a day in the hills), smart TV and a proper bathroom with shower. A travel cot and high chair are available for toddlers, though you'll need to bring bedding for the cot.

On long summer evenings, the decking and firepit come into their own for alfresco barbecues. Elgin's a handy 10-minute drive for supplies, with plenty of restaurants and pubs if you fancy a night off cooking. Your nearest neighbours will be the farm's Highland cattle and friendly Valais Blacknose sheep, yet you could be spotting dolphins in the Moray Firth or sampling single malt whisky in under 30 minutes. Inverness airport is only an hour away, making this an ideal base for the North Coast 500.

The pod is clean, well-equipped, spacious and in a nice, quiet location with easy access to attractions and groceries. The owners are some of the nicest people we've ever met. We felt welcome and we are extremely grateful for their recommendations on places to visit. They were always helpful if we needed anything. Another highlight was grilling each evening, visiting the farm animals and then sitting around the fire. This was a great choice for a family with children ages 8 and 11 and we are looking forward to our next visit.
