About Premier Inn Wirral Childer Thornton
Sixty-seven rooms spread across just two floors set the tone at Premier Inn Wirral Childer Thornton, a straightforward, no-frills base on New Chester Road in Ellesmere Port. Every room comes with an en-suite bathroom and drinks facilities, and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. Free on-site parking is included, which makes this a practical stop for anyone travelling by car.
There's an on-site restaurant and bar serving food and drink, along with breakfast to start the day, and reception is staffed around the clock for early arrivals or late check-ins. It's a functional set-up rather than a destination in itself, geared towards guests who want somewhere reliable to rest rather than a lavish stay.
The location works well for exploring the wider area, with Chester Zoo, Port Sunlight and the North Wales coast all within reach. Locally, there's also a golf course, fishing, horse riding and watersports nearby, plus pubs and restaurants for evening meals out.
Guests mention this hotel offers clean, comfortable rooms and a restaurant with good food, including delicious burgers and cheesecake. They also highlight the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay.
Some reviews mention the restaurant service can be slow.
