Charity-run watersports and activity centre with camping, caravan pitches and glamping pods

About Share Discovery Village

Share Discovery Village unfolds across 60 acres on the shore of Upper Lough Erne near Lisnaskea, run as a registered charity with inclusive outdoor activity at its heart. The site's own lough frontage gives direct access to canoeing, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding led by on-site instructors, alongside land-based sessions including archery, bushcraft and rock climbing. Accommodation ranges from touring pitches and camping to self-catering chalets and newer glamping pods, with full accessibility woven throughout the grounds rather than tacked on as an afterthought.

This is more working activity centre than quiet campsite, which suits families and groups after structured things to do but won't appeal to everyone seeking a simple lakeside pitch. The Upper Lough setting—quieter and more reed-fringed than the lower stretch—rewards wildlife watchers between sessions, and the spread of accommodation options outpaces most sites in the county.

What visitors say

Lovely, family centred campsite. Lots of activities including on the lake, but they need to be booked in advance especially on busy weekends. One slight quibble, there was a large group, kept on talking well past supposed quiet time of 11, but other than that no complaints and we will be back.

This was my third visit, but my first time staying in one of the houses. Overall, we had a great time, especially enjoying the excellent water activities. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars for service is because the reception experience in the lesuire centre was disappointing. I was simply handed a key and map with very little information, and no real assistance with finding the house or connecting to Wi-Fi. On the positive side, when we had an issue with the toilet, staff responded quickly and resolved it straight away. 4 stars on rooms as the mattresses are very uncomfortable, some worse for wear than others. I was also disappointed that the café was closed all weekend, and although the bar area was open, there were no staff available to serve. Despite these issues, the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely stay and would happily return, although I'd choose different dates next time.

£5 each for a family of four to go swimming in a small, cold pool is extremely expensive (£20!!) In Belfast it is literally half the price for a family swim ticket. The facilities are unfortunately quite run down and the main pool is really dark with no lights coming on.
