About Lusty Beg Island Resort & Spa

Lusty Beg Island Resort & Spa occupies its own 75-acre island on Lower Lough Erne off Boa Island near Kesh, reached by a complimentary ferry that runs around the clock. The island setting is the defining feature, giving every accommodation type on site, from courtyard rooms and studios to one-bedroom lodges and chalets, a genuine sense of separation from the mainland.

An award-winning spa runs treatments including barrel tub sessions, and the lakeside restaurant serves food with a strong local emphasis, alongside event spaces used for weddings and corporate breaks. Activities on and around the island lean into the watersports and walking that the lough setting naturally supports, and dog-friendly accommodation widens its appeal to visitors travelling with pets.

The resort positions itself between a romantic retreat and a family break, and its island setting, reachable only by the resort's own ferry, makes it one of the more memorable stays on Lower Lough Erne rather than simply another lakeside hotel.

We had our wedding here last weekend, and it exceeded all of our expectations. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully presented, the food was fantastic, and the service throughout the entire day was outstanding. The staff were professional and attentive, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. So many of our guests commented on how amazing the venue was, the most perfect setting for a wedding! We couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate our wedding and would highly recommend it to anyone, special mention to Aisling for her communication prior to the day and ensuring everything ran smoothly on the big day!

The Lusty Beg Island Resort & Spa is a truly spectacular destination and one of Northern Ireland’s hidden gems. Our cabin was spacious and comfortable, with stunning views across the water. The spa was heavenly, providing the perfect place to relax and unwind, while the food was exceptional—some of the best I’ve ever had. The resort is also wonderfully dog-friendly and offers plenty of activities, including archery and other outdoor adventures. What really sets it apart, however, is the incredible staff, who go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. As someone who works remotely, I was also impressed by the reliable Wi-Fi, which made it easy to stay connected and get work done. Surrounded by nature and peaceful scenery, Lusty Beg is the perfect escape for relaxation, adventure, and a little luxury.

A very unique place to visit, it's on a small island on Lough Erne. Very scenic and safe, also dog friendly. The rooms are lovely, warm and clean. The food is delicious. The reason it only got 3 stars is because the bar area was freezing. It was very cold weather and there were draughts coming from every direction. The heating was on to the maximum but it was still cold. There were doors open unnecessarily to the kitchen area that could have been closed. There is also a lack of seating in the bar area and it could be laid out much better, for example there were only 3 bar stools. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Just spent 3 nights on Lustybeg, it was so peaceful and relaxing. Every single member of staff was exceptional, but we must give a particular shout out to Max for the clay shooting experience (so much fun) and Fay for the wonderful massage at the Spa.
