🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Nautilus Cottage

Nautilus Cottage is a terraced fisherman's cottage on the harbourside at Cellardyke, with a red pantile roof and views across the water. Walk through the door into an open-plan first floor: living room with woodburner, separate dining space, and kitchen fitted with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and the rest you need to cook properly. A utility room houses the washing machine. Two bedrooms occupy the ground floor, both with king beds; upstairs on the second floor are another king bedroom and a single, plus a shower room. The ground floor also has a bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. The cottage sleeps seven and is yours entirely, with essentials covered—electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi included, plus initial logs for the fire.

Cellardyke sits on the Fife Coastal Path and has a small sandy beach, a bar, restaurant and shop within the village itself. Anstruther, a working fishing harbour with its own cluster of cafes and restaurants, is within walking distance. The Scottish Fisheries Museum is here, and boat trips run from the harbour to the Isle of May for its bird sanctuary. St Andrews, nine miles south, is the obvious draw for golfers; Anstruther Golf Club is one mile away, with Crail and Kings Barns at five miles each. Built-in golf bag stands are provided for storage. The cottage suits families, groups of friends, or anyone wanting a base to explore the East Neuk's castles, villages and beaches along the Fife coast.
