Perivale Lodge

The Forest of Dean offers everything from woodland walks to steam railway days out, and Perivale Lodge puts you in the middle of it. The property sits within seven acres of natural grounds, with direct access to some of the forest's best routes on foot. The immediate surroundings include open ponds and sloping banks, so families with young children will need to keep them supervised; the enclosed garden and patio provide a safer space to relax, and there's a firepit for evening gatherings.

The lodge sleeps six across three bedrooms: a kingsize, a double, and a zip-and-link pair of singles. One bathroom with shower serves the first floor, where the open-plan living and dining areas centre on a 55" smart TV and electric cooker. Downstairs, a separate toilet and entrance designed for muddy boots and wet dogs make the practical side straightforward. One dog stays free of charge, and the two-acre enclosed field lets them off the lead safely. Essentials like electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are included; heating is by oil central heating. Parking for three cars is on site. No smoking inside, please.
