What visitors say
A Peaceful Campsite Surrounded by Nature We had a fantastic stay at The Loft Campsite and would happily return. If you're looking to switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this place is perfect. 🌿 Great campsite with stunning views and a lovely peaceful atmosphere. 🚜 It's a working farm, but don't let that put you off. It's surprisingly quiet at night and makes for a really relaxing stay. 👨🌾 I'd read a few reviews saying the owner was rude, but I honestly experienced the complete opposite. He was friendly, polite and happy to chat. I think he's just a typical farmer who takes pride in his land and expects visitors to respect it. He doesn't have time for pettiness or people doing stupid things, which is completely understandable. 🐄 The cows and goats were brilliant and really added to the experience. Sitting outside during the day or evening listening to nature was incredibly relaxing. I had nothing better to do during the first few days, so I ended up naming the cream-coloured cow Jezebel. Scottish air for you! I'm convinced she spent the first three days staring at me and plotting to eat me every time I walked past. Then, completely out of the blue, she decided I was acceptable and ignored me for the rest of the holiday. I still haven't decided who won that little feud! 😂 🚻 At first, the toilets felt like they were miles away, especially on a night when it was dark and quiet. In reality they really weren't that far, it just felt like it because of how peaceful the site is. 🔥 We stayed on Pitch 50. I would have loved to have a fire pit, but I didn't feel comfortable with where our slab was positioned as it was directly behind another pitch. To be fair, it was empty for most of our stay, but I still felt it was a little too close if someone had been staying there. 🚶♂️ If you enjoy walking, there are some lovely walks around the area. It genuinely feels like you're surrounded by nature. 🛒 One thing to be aware of is that there really isn't anything nearby apart from nature itself. If you're like me and used to having everything on your doorstep, it takes a couple of days to adjust to slowing down and driving for essentials. The nearest town with a good range of shops is Elgin, which is only around a 15-minute drive away and has an Asda, a retail park and pretty much everything you'll need. Overall, we had a brilliant stay. It's peaceful, relaxing and exactly what you want if you're looking to escape for a few days. Just remember you're staying on a working farm, so respect the land and the animals as you would anywhere else. We would definitely visit again. 🌿🐄

A nice getaway site by a working farm. The tent pitch ups have power hookups. Provides more "real" camping spots amongst trees and real fires are permitted. The signage is a bit worn and overrun, and the welcome pack map does not orient well, but we found our spot eventually. It's a bit close to the A96 so lots of traffic noise but it does die down during night. The toilet and kitchen hut was clean and well maintained, although not much space for toiletries by the sink. The goats in the fields nearby are rather sociable and approach the fence when we walk by.

The staff were very friendly. Instructions clear My standout comment was the jacuzzi was immaculately clean, the water was so clear, and well stocked and heated to perfection for arrival! Thankyou

Had an amazing stay. Very peaceful and relaxing. Lots of lovely little touches like washing up liquid at all the sinks, hob, toaster, kettle and microwave in the kitchen plus a games barn with sofas and pool tables etc. Wee cabin in our section that has the sink for washing up plus can go have a wee seat outside/inside it. Lovely views and walks. The plots (room based rating) offer good privacy and allowed our wild 1 year old space to move around without going through others pitches. After a total disaster first camping trip with the kids (different park) we can't wait to book next trip here again.
