Set in the grounds of a 19th-century former farm and surrounded by countryside, North Alves Holiday Park is a peaceful family-run campsite on the outskirts of the rural village of Alves in Morayshire. Just off the main A96 trunk road between Inverness and Aberdeen, it's easy to find yet feels wonderfully tucked away.
The real star here is the small petting farm, where kids can meet, feed and cuddle friendly animals including donkeys and Highland cows. Indoor and outdoor play areas keep youngsters entertained whatever the weather, while grown-ups appreciate the spotless amenity blocks, dedicated dog-exercise area and small shop selling local crafts and regional treats. Touring caravans, campervans, trailer tents and tents are all welcome on the camping fields.
Stunning Roseisle Beach is a 10-minute drive for days of digging sand castles and paddling in the North Sea. If it rains, the indoor swimming pool at Moray Leisure Centre in Elgin is only 15 minutes away.

What a great place to find right on our doorstep! My daughter and I had a wonderful time visiting the animals for an Easter holiday treat. The animals are obviously loved and well kept, the owners/staff/volunteers were lovely and very helpful. Really great value for money (I'd say you could even raise your prices a little!) with an easter hunt, food for the animals, a load of lovely furry creatures to cuddle and lambs to bottle feed, all included. The volunteers you have are an absolute credit to you. Very approachable and friendly young people. Thank you for such a lovely couple of hours. We'll be back, and my daughter will be heading your way to volunteer in 3 years!

We visited North Alves Petting Farm and Holiday Park today with our two children and were absolutely amazed by what was on offer. The range of animals was fantastic and our kids were fascinated by them all. My son enjoyed it so much that before bed we were reading about some of the animals we had seen in his animal book. The value for money was incredible. For £29 in total, including homemade tray bakes, sausage rolls with black pudding and a cupcake, a family of four had a full day out. It's hard to find family attractions that offer this much for such a reasonable price. One thing that really stood out was the young volunteers. They were professional, hardworking, knowledgeable about the animals and clearly passionate about what they do. It's wonderful to see a place giving young animal lovers the opportunity to gain experience and confidence. We were told that some former volunteers have even gone on to veterinary training, which says a lot about the opportunities available there. A fantastic family day out and somewhere we would happily recommend to others. I rarely leave reviews but this place has really left an impression. Well done 👏

My son and I went along tonight. We had such a great time seeing the animals and getting to brush them and feed them. It's such a lovely well run place and by such a lovely couple. It's wonderful to see the animals being so well looked after and very much loved. Finished off with a lovely hot or cold drink and delicious homemade bakes 🥰🥰

I visited with my little family on 19/10/25. We had the best day out. What an incredible family fun day. So much for the kiddies to do. The Halloween session was brilliant. So much thought has gone into this event. The food was 10/10 and we also learned it’s made in house. This was our first time attending and it won’t be the last. I enjoyed my cuddles with Peter rabbit and I will make sure I’m first in the queue for some sausage rolls. 🤣
