Ben Wyvis
Moray
The Moray coast has sandy beaches within reach, golf courses dotted inland, and a working estate with its own distillery at the boundary. Ben Wyvis is one of two detached lodges set among woodland on the Burgie Estate, sleeping up to six across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The property sits on the ground floor, with an open-plan living and dining space that opens onto a private deck, and a kitchen equipped for cooking proper meals rather than heating up takeaways.
Each bedroom contains either a double or two single beds. There's a hot tub outside for six, positioned to take in the views towards Findhorn Bay. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The lodge is reached via a rough track through the estate, and parking is available for three cars. One dog is welcome on the lead, given the working farm setting, and the grounds do include a small burn.
This suits groups wanting space to spread out while remaining close enough to beaches, restaurants and shops five miles away. The estate itself offers scope for walking without leaving the property.
