this is a fantastic bird rescue / rehab center run by super nice people... they have a lot of types of owls and other raptors, as well as a handful of reptiles and even some isopods... the family and an all-volunteer staff run the place, and you can see they are really taking great care of these animals... the enclosures are large for these kind of places, the birds look healthy... john, son of the owner (mike) runs the day to day operations, and he was just great to talk to... knew a lot about the individual birds' histories and general info on owls... he and one of the volunteers (hannah) taught us all sorts of stuff we didn't know... they were both really nice... they have a tremendously rare bird, as well... talia is a melanistic barn owl - there are only a handful on display in zoos around the world (cuz the condition is rare and their moms don't recognize them so they usually die soon after hatching)... just a great experience... my 18 yo son and I both really enjoyed it... we were going to call a cab but mike was so nice he offered to drop us off in antrim, which was just so above and beyond I wish I could give them a higher rating... truly, most of my 5 stars are pretty generous, but this one really is something special... thanks to everyone there - best day of the trip so far...

My friend and I visited World of Owls on Saturday (16/05) and had the most incredible time! We had booked the additional Owl Experience and got to meet & hold Nero the Eurasian Eagle Owl, he was very tame and gentle. Highly recommend booking the experience, it was the highlight of our day! Liana who led the experience was incredible, she was full of knowledge about every bird at the sanctuary!

A bit different, but worthwhile as far as I was concerned. All the owls were visible. The various volunteers and handlers all seemed to be fully upto speed with all the birds. We came in around 1430 and birds were all being cleaned and fed.

I had booked the individual owl experience for my daughter and me and it was truly awesome. Leanna was our handler who explained all about the very incredible Erasian Eagle Owl 🦉named Nero. She is really passionate about owls, which is very evident from the way she handled Nero, a much loved feathered friend. Then it was our turn to hold him and we both loved it, just being so close to such a beautiful eagle owl was such a pleasure. There were lots more owls to view in the sanctuary and really well worth a visit. Even if it's raining there's good shelter under the tree's which definitely keeps you dry.
