The hotel is closed at present . Apparently it was once a favourite haunt of Rabbie Burns . It seemingly was a very busy hotel a few years back when it was the " local " for all the farmers from miles around . It now has a caravan park in its grounds and hopefully, in the near future , we will be able to enjoy the delights of this hotel once more . 5 stars is for the stunning scenery
