About The Glyncorrwg Ponds
The Glyncorrwg Ponds campground sits within a working visitor centre in the South Wales valleys, where old industrial ponds have been restored into a recreational landscape. The site is deeply embedded in the local cycling scene, with multiple mountain bike centres and trail networks operating within the immediate area—some just metres away. Showers are available on site.
This is a destination for people visiting to ride or walk the trails rather than a general holiday campground. The setting is one of environmental recovery and outdoor activity, with cafes and bike facilities clustered nearby. It suits anyone planning to spend time on the local trail network or exploring what the restored ponds site itself has to offer.

What visitors say
Geoff was super helpful during a visit this week. Helped refresh my memory on the trails and gave me a heads up on the camp site setup. Couldnt be any better a location for hitting up Blade, Whites level or Skyline Was such a relaxed vibe, but thats because there were only three campers staying at that point. Needs a little bit of tlc, and perhaps an specific ebike charging area for people such as myself.

Absolutely stunning location. Incredibly peaceful and just a few miles off the M4 through the stunning Afan Valley, yet feels so remote. Excellent dark skies location for night time photography. Clean facilities for showers and toilets for campsite use and for cyclist's using the mountain trails, though the toilets upstairs in the restaurant are unisex which I wasn't particularly happy about, and needed a clean. There's a lift for the disabled to facilitate entry to the restaurant and a disabled toilet, and the area around the lake's has a gravel base to enable disabled visitors in wheelchairs to access the area, though this could be hard going in parts, though thoroughly worth it for the stunning scenery and peaceful environment. Another point to mention is there's live music at the venue, though check when available as I'm not sure. The campsite is well maintained, level, very clean and extremely peaceful, and again, you could be in the middle of nowhere yet just a few miles off the M4 corridor. Highly recommended, stunning location, world class mountain biking courses through the stunning Afan Valley, and a fabulous location for family day's out as I did on Mother's day, and as a disabled person myself found the area accessible, and a very welcomed peaceful and reflective environment full of natural beauty. Enjoy!

Small and quite disappointing site. No views, many midges. Facilities dated and not very pleasant. No personnel on site for the last 24hrs I was there so no access to showers (tokens required) or the cafe after a massive ride before my journey home. It is cheap but next time I’ll stay in a park up or over at the site at Afan bike park.

Stars for location really. It's ideal for the mountain bike trails. The facilities are a little basic, and getting on a bit, but they are all more than serviceable, and all that you need. Pitches overlook the Whites Level climb, so either sit and stare with foreboding, or the immense satisfaction from having climbed it. There's a cafe onsite, open to do meals most of the day, plus an excellent bike shop downstairs that rents bikes too. Much more than a sum of it's parts. Also, way, way more civilised than the campsite down the road at the Afan Trail Centre.
