About Courtyard Glasgow SEC by Marriott
A varied breakfast and a relaxed on-site bar and restaurant set the tone at Courtyard Glasgow SEC by Marriott, on Stobcross Road in Glasgow. Beyond the food, the hotel has 216 rooms spread across nine floors, many with river or city views, air conditioning, and en-suite bathrooms, along with family and accessible options and drinks available in room. The rooms themselves are a strong point, with large TVs and enough space to unwind after a day at the SEC or a night at the Hydro, though a few rooms could do with better upkeep. Staff are consistently described as friendly and willing to help, and the hotel welcomes pets, making it a practical base for longer stays. A 24-hour gym, meeting rooms and business services cater to work trips, while lift access and luggage storage smooth out the practicalities. Finnieston is close by for further food and drink options, and the location puts guests within easy reach of the OVO Hydro and SEC for concerts and events, plus nearby golf and entertainment venues. On-site parking is available for a charge.
What guests say
Very disappointing experience. There was no room cleaning service during our stay. If we wanted fresh towels or even toilet paper, we had to go to reception and ask for them ourselves. For the price charged, I expected a much better level of service and basic housekeeping. Unfortunately, it was not worth the price.

I didn't sleep in one of your rooms myself but my boyfriend did and enjoyed his stay and had nothing negative to say about it !! I just wanted to highlight the kindness and availability of the staff !!! Kayleigh, Chloe and Dave especially (and maybe more, I'm sorry if I missed any of you) because of what you did to make my boyfriend's birthday surprise happen !! It went all smoothly and the surprise was how I intended and it was a delight to organize it. Once again thanks to all of you, I highly recommend the hotel (which is also very dog friendly and leaves some treats for them apparently which I think is just adorable !!) Have a beautiful day ! Louise :)

I attended an event here. The conference rooms were really good, with enough space, good projector quality and decorations. What I think was below expectations was the lunch, as there was only 4-5 options that didn't really go too well together and just one dessert option.

The location is a LITTLE off the beaten path, but it's still convenient to get around without all the hustle and bustle of being right in the thick of it. Close enough to walk to all the restaurants on or near Finnieston, and the Stadium and the hop on/hop off bus are just around the corner. Rooms were clean and spacious, well appointed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Although the breakfast had all the same / typical English breakfast items most hotels have, the food here was FRESH and delicious. Definitely a step up from others we've stayed at. Chef even made me a vegan sausage. I'd stay here again when I'm in town.
