Lovely outdoor playground well spread out with places to explore and play. Cafe area within garden centre and always busy. Kids happy meal box is a winner for toddlers. Lots of homemade cakes. A bit dated but nice.

This is a lovely place to stop, as we did, journeying into Scotland. It's relaxing in a beautiful setting and has a good café. The cakes were amazing!

Brechin Castle Centre – A Fun Day Out for Kids Brechin Castle Centre is a fantastic place for a family day out, especially if you have energetic kids who need space to run, play, and explore. The site has a lovely garden centre and a great outdoor play area that includes an inflatable jump, foot golf, quad cycling, and more. There’s also a beautiful pond in the middle, home to plenty of ducks, which adds a nice touch of nature to the visit. One highlight is the fairy-themed forest walk – a magical little trail perfect for children’s imaginations. Parking is plentiful and conveniently located right outside the area. Entry to the play park is £10 per child and £7 per adult. The outdoor area also has a small café serving ice creams, coffee, water, and juices, with plenty of seating so you can relax while the kids play. Inside, there’s a much larger café with lots of seating, but prices are on the expensive side, and the staff felt more functional than friendly. Overall, if you’re looking for somewhere your kids can have fun, burn off energy, and enjoy the outdoors, Brechin Castle Centre is an excellent choice. I’ll definitely be visiting again – though next time I’ll bring my own juice and sandwiches.
