I love this site and I am so sad to see CAMC lose the management of it but I do hope the estate will continue to operate the site for future visitors. It's magical location with the key to the gate allowing access to the estate grounds "after hours" is just wonderful and meant many an evening stroll watching deer and other wildlife. Very peaceful and good for the soul.

Great site which is very close to Chatsworth House. There's a gate which gives direct access to the grounds, a key for which is given on arrival. There's plenty of wildlife on site, the ducks and pheasants are super friendly. Bakewell is a short distance away where the best Bakewell tart can be tried out in the cafés and coffee shops. The National Trust owned Hardwick hall is half an hour away, and we'll worth a visit. The wardens were very friendly and helpful and the amenities were, as always, spotless. Thank you

All the usual things you expect at CAMC site, clean facilities, good size pitches. Could do with better lighting as I managed to trip over a kerb as it was really dimly lit. Beware the chains across paths too, take a torch. The shop offered lots of local produce, cakes etc.The walk to Chatsworth was only 20 minutes

Lovely campsite. Dog walk so can be off lead not that large but perfect for quick roam. Fantastic walks around especially round Chatsworth house but dogs must be on leads. Dog shower so always a bonus as I have a spaniel!!! Love this campsite.
