I had never experienced the English countryside before, and this stay was the perfect introduction. The cottage was a true reflection of everything you imagine about rural England, peaceful, charming, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The interiors and outdoor spaces were stunning, creating the perfect sense of serenity. The host was incredibly thoughtful, especially after our long flight, welcoming us with a fridge stocked with essentials. It was such a kind touch that made us feel instantly at home. A beautiful countryside escape that I would highly recommend, we only wished we could have stayed longer.

The location is perfect but I feel that Apple tree cottage could have been alot better for the money paid. Beds uncomfortable could feel the springs in the mattress. Most of the blinds required attention and also the fact the toilet had clearly been leaking but just left with a bowl under the soil pipe also to flush had to take the top off it. Clearly the place is in need of some TLC, also the oven made a strange noise when trying to use it so gave up with it. Maybe some of the other properties in this complex would be better to stay in.

We had an amazing weekend at Thurnefield Holiday Homes! We stayed in Walnut Cottage, which had everything we needed for a family of four. It was cosy and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The sea coast is just 15 minutes away, and the river with its beautiful scenery is only a few minutes’ walk from the cottage. We even got to taste fresh eggs from free-range chickens! Our children were happily engaged in different sports activities instead of spending time on gadgets, which was a big plus for us. We highly recommend Thurnefield Holiday Homes for a peaceful and family-friendly getaway!

My family and I (and Bruce the dog!) recently had the pleasure of staying at Thurnefield Holiday Homes in the Walnut cottage and it was a super experience! Walnut cottage was the perfect retreat, offering all you’d expect from a home from home. The cottage was beautifully appointed, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location is ideal for exploring the Norfolk Broads, and I enjoyed fishing in the nearby river Thurne (only a 3 minutes walk) and walking the dog on peaceful walks along the river. The sounds of nature and the lack of traffic rumbling by made it a truly tranquil experience.
