What an absolutely amazing hotel and restaurant. Superb service, amazing food ( superbly cooked by a talented chef), spotlessly clean and particularly well appointed rooms. Amazing value at this price. Do book direct. I would expect to pay at least double the price for this level of service and comfort in any other area.

With friends i went to the restaurant, we all had fish and chips at around £19 per head. The jumbo fish is definitely not jumbo, the chips are in a bowl for all to share. The fish tasted dry and over cooked, the batter was stodgy and not nice, chips tasted like oven chips. I didn’t receive any mention how disappointed I was and the lovely waitress apologised, but beyond that none one else was interested. I paid in full, but won’t be going back ever, which is a shame as I’ve been going for a number of years. The high light was the mushy peas which were nice.

We had Sunday lunch at Roosters last weekend. The food was delicious and the ambience was perfect. The staff are friendly, “Myley” was the waitress looking after us and she is an absolute joy. Nothing was too much trouble, really attentive and happy personality bolstered a good dining out experience.

Beautiful buildings in a lovely countryside setting. Attended a wedding reception here and the staff pulled out all the stops to make the happy couple's day special. Food was all delicious.
