About Holroyd Arms

The Holroyd Arms is a small pub-hotel on Aldershot Road in Guildford, the kind of building where the bar comes first and the bedrooms sit above it. There are only 8 rooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, kept simple and comfortable rather than dressed up, which suits a place built around its pub trade rather than its accommodation.

Downstairs is where the Holroyd Arms does most of its talking: a restaurant and bar with live music and televised sport, a garden and outdoor seating for quieter moments, and breakfast served on site. Rooms come with drinks available, and the property has meeting rooms for those combining business with an overnight stay. Free WiFi and free on-site parking cover the practical side, and pets are welcome.

It's a sociable, informal set-up rather than a retreat, so those wanting silence in the evenings should factor in the live entertainment. Guildford's own pubs, bars and restaurants are close by for anyone who fancies a change of scene, and the Holroyd Arms itself works well as a straightforward base for exploring the town.

We had a works party here. The service from the staff was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. We did axe throwing then went into another room for karaoke, pool and darts. We had a brilliant time. A buffet was provided for us too. Definitely coming back to this pub, the vibe here was brilliant!!!

What a fun place to brings the boys to today for nephew's 13th birthday for Rage Room and Axe Throwing. Lisa, Jess & Paul were all tops notch in their kindness and hospitality. What fun. I didn't realise that they havr a lot more going on at the place than just this. Lots of gigs, events that my friend and I want to come back for. Not only that I am coming back bringing the man, and Step son too and I know they will find this place a blast. I highly recommend coming to the place Thank you for today for welcoming us and your excellent service.

Hired the karaoke in 'The Hub' for my daughter's birthday. Her and her friends had a great time. The pizzas were good and the setup was excellent. Ideal for a teenager and her friends to sing, play table tennis and hang out for a couple of hours.

Great traditional pub with a twist! Staff were friendly and helpful and food was good and served quickly. We came to do axe throwing and the rage room for my son’s birthday. Axe throwing was awesome, I thought it would be hard to do it for an hour but you can play a variety of games and play against each other or in teams, so the time flew by! Then my son did the rage room. If health and safety is your thing then avoid this but my son loved it!! He got to smash lots of glass bottle and crockery. Plus 2 pc monitors and a dvd player (he had to ask me what it was!!!) 😂. Plus punch on a punch bag. Great venue, great staff. Totally recommend it.
