Arddwyn
Gwynedd
You walk into an open-plan living space that stretches across the ground floor of this detached cottage—kitchen, dining area and sitting room flow together around a woodburner, with a utility room tucked away for laundry. The first floor holds two bedrooms (a double and a single) and a shower room. A small courtyard with seating looks out onto the surroundings. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included; there is parking for two cars on site, and one medium-sized dog stays free.
Arddwyn sits half a mile from Penrhyndeudraeth's centre, where a pub, café, shop and restaurant cluster around a mainline railway station. The Ffestiniog steam railway departs from here too, heading either to Porthmadog on the coast or inland to Blaenau Ffestiniog with its mountain biking, zip wires and Bounce Below. Snowdonia National Park and the coast are both within reach—Black Rock Sands, a drive-on beach, lies 5 miles away. Portmeirion is 2 miles off, Harlech Castle 8 miles. The property has open and steep stairs, and there are 6 steps in the courtyard. Smoking is not permitted.
