About Barcdy Touring Caravan and Camping Park
Barcdy is a small, family-run touring and camping park tucked into a sheltered vale above Talsarnau, a couple of miles from Harlech, with views sweeping across the Dwyryd estuary towards Portmeirion and the mountains of Eryri National Park. The site takes touring caravans, motorhomes and tents—all with electric hookup available—and the owners keep numbers deliberately low even in peak weeks, so it rarely feels crowded. Wi-Fi covers the whole park, a rarity for a site of this scale, and the layout uses the natural folds of the land to keep pitches out of the worst coastal wind. Shower and toilet blocks sit close to both touring and tent areas, and a handful of static caravans are available to hire, including a three-bedroom option that suits families wanting a fixed base.
Barcdy's setting between the sea and the mountains puts Harlech Castle, Portmeirion village and the Ffestiniog Railway all within easy reach, and the site is well regarded locally as a good, unpretentious base for exploring this stretch of the Snowdonia coast rather than a destination with its own extensive facilities. The owners are on hand for advice on local walks, tides and the nearest beaches, and arrivals are welcome from 1pm, with some flexibility offered outside the busiest summer weeks.

What visitors say
Expensive. No phone signal and wifi is extra at £3 for 1.5GB - if you can get it to work. Clean site though - nice big showers.

Absolutely love this camp site, owners can’t do enough to help. Facilities are always kept immaculate. Several toilets/bathrooms and wash rooms. Such a lovely relaxed vibe, and always clean. Lovely little park area for the kids. We have been here several times and will keep coming back. Can’t wait for our next stay, hopefully soon!

Picturesque camping location. Pitches for electric hook-up tents, and non-electric. There's also a separate part of the site that have static caravans. The pitches themselves are spacious with a rule that you have to pitch in the center so that there is 5m between each tent. There are enough potable water access points located around the site as well. The site is well kept, with the owners on site or nearby if you need them. There is a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer and sinks to wash up. Also there are separate female and male toilets with unisex shower rooms. It's a short drive to beaches, shops, supermarkets. A great base for wherever you want to go.
