About Portmeirion Motorhome Park

Here's a rare treat for motorhomers: staying at Portmeirion means you can explore the famously whimsical Italianate village after day-trippers leave, when its piazzas and colonnades fall quiet. Your pitch fee includes village entry plus use of the heated outdoor pool – a generous perk. Guests consistently praise the unique, colourful architecture and coastal views, plus the woodland walks threading through the surrounding estate. The cafes and shops get thumbs-up for reasonably priced food and friendly service.

The touring area itself sits tucked among trees and hydrangeas, offering gravel hardstanding with electric hook-up and full servicing (water, drainage) for campervans and motorhomes of all sizes. Facilities include clean shower blocks with accessible amenities and a drying room. It's a peaceful, sheltered spot on the edge of Eryri National Park. The only real drawback? No dogs allowed, so four-legged friends will have to sit this one out.

What visitors say

What a delightful little village. I visited, with a coach trip, on 30 April so it wasn't heaving with people. I also had amazing weather which made you feel that you truly could have been in a village on the Mediterranean. Took a walk around to the lighthouse, and as the tide was out I went down onto the sands. It was beautiful and peaceful. Then walked back through the woods to the hotel. I imagine it could be a bit difficult navigating the steep cobbled paths if It is wet. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Had lunch in one of the smaller cafés. A fresh made, full filled sandwich, served with salad, coleslaw and crisps. Great value for money. Clean toilets Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Beautiful place, I didn't expect an Italian village in Wales, yes its an attraction and closes up for hotel guests in the evening, but it is worth a visit.

Lovely place to visit, not all suitable for those with walking difficulties or in a wheelchair, although there is a map which gives you a blue route for those with limited ability and a red route for the more abled. Ample parking, disabled parking spaces closer to the main entrance. There are quite a few cafes with a good variety of food. You can actually book a stay on the site, and there was a wedding on when we were there, so can book as a wedding venue too.
